Tips for setting up your Smartbook creation
LEVEL OF SUBJECT DETAIL
• How much detail should I provide for the subject of my Smartbook?
It is recommended to describe the subject of the Smartbook in a few sentences.
For example, for a history of the Internet:
This Smartbook offers a comprehensive and chronological overview of the history of the Internet from its origins to the latest innovations. It presents the different periods of this history, the evolution of the technology, the great scientists, the major companies in the field, and all the key points for understanding the evolution of the Internet.
• I want my Smartbook to cover a specific point. How do I do this?
If you want your Smartbook to explicitly address a specific point, it’s advisable to indicate it in the subject line.
For example, if you want your Smartbook about Bob Dylan to detail the recent biopic about him, here’s a suggested subject:
Bob Dylan, an iconic figure in folk and rock music, has left his mark on American culture with his politically charged and poetic lyrics. From “Blowin’ in the Wind” to “Like a Rolling Stone,” he embodies the social protest of the 1960s. A Nobel Prize winner in Literature, he revolutionized songwriting as a distinct art form. The biopic “A Perfect Stranger,” released in 2025, shows how his influence has transcended generations. This eBook retraces the unique journey and cultural impact of this major artist.
• I want to create an initial Smartbook on a given topic and then elaborate on it later. What is the best way to proceed?
This approach is recommended.
Each Smartbook includes a “Suggestions” section that offers five topics to explore further related to the Smartbook’s theme.
If one of these topics interests you, you can copy and paste the suggestion into the topic of the second Smartbook, adapting it as needed.
OTHER PARAMETERS
• How do I use the adjustments?
You have ten adjustments to refine the creation of your Smartbook.
At each step, you can go back if Encyclo-AI™’s suggestions don’t suit you.
Each time you go back will remove one adjustment from your count.
• Audience
The Audience parameter lets you specify who the Smartbook is primarily intended for.
If you’re writing a Smartbook on “product management” focused on startups, it would be helpful to clarify that the audience is “startup product managers and teams.”
• Expertise and writing style
The “Level of Expertise” and “Writing Style” settings allow you to guide the creation of your Smartbook.
TOPICS TO AVOID
• Ethics
Encyclo-AI™ will review your topic.
If it appears that the topic includes elements that do not comply with French law, are based on unverified facts, or are contrary to the site’s ethics, your topic will be rejected and the creation process will be suspended.
• Fiction or commercial subject
Encyclo-AI™’s editorial focus is on knowledge.
Creating a Smartbook on a fictional or promotional topic does not align with this focus and will therefore be rejected, and the creation process will be suspended.
• Too narrow subject
If your proposed topic is too narrow to create a high-quality Smartbook, you will be asked to broaden it.
For example, the history of a small town in France will likely be rejected due to a lack of information. You can expand the topic, perhaps to include the region surrounding the town, to have your proposal accepted. In your proposal, you can explicitly request a specific chapter on the town that interests you.
